First Blog Post Ever!

New school year = new opportunities to help out your community!

Our first Service on Saturdays event is going to take place next Saturday (September 27). We will help clean up Hinkson Creek! More info will be coming very soon on times and places!

If you want to volunteer, but can't make it on Saturday, here is another volunteer opportunity we wanted you to know about:

Columbia Festival of the Arts is looking for a group of students (about 10) on Friday evening, Sept. 26 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. to help set up the stages and to help the visiting artists set up their booths. The close proximity of Downtown Courthouse Square to MU campus makes this a great venue for MU students to volunteer. Please contact Debra Hardin (DDH@GoColumbiaMO.com) if you're interested!

Also, check out this article for a plethora (yes, I did just use that word) of information about volunteer opportunities throughout Columbia!

If you have any questions or want to get involved, let us know! Comment or e-mail us! serviceonsaturday@gmail.com!

Thanks and hope to see you out there!
